Our Story
We are Noble Hardwoods SC.
We started this venture in 2020 during a time when the lumber industry was experiencing significant price increases and supply challenges. As the market struggled to keep up with demand—largely due to the economic impact of COVID—we saw an opportunity to step in and serve our local community.
At the same time, I (Michelle) was preparing for maternity leave and looking for a way to support my growing family. Alongside my dad, Jim, we took a leap and purchased lumber from a closing sawmill in North Carolina. What started as a simple solution to a short term financial struggle quickly turned into something much bigger—bringing quality, affordable lumber to woodworkers right here in South Carolina.
Since then, we’ve sold over 25,000 board feet of lumber and have had the privilege of connecting with so many talented and hardworking people in the SC woodworking community. What began primarily on Facebook Marketplace has grown into a business we’re proud of. We have learned a lot from the past 5 years and look forward to what is next!
